We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy Packing & Dispensing Machine Operator / Pharmacy Technician to take ownership of our automated Dose Administration Aid (DAA) packing and medication management operations.
The Role:
Working alongside our dispensary team, you will be the core operator managing our high-volume automated sachet packaging and medication checking suite. This hands-on role balances technical system operation with meticulous quality control to ensure accurate, timely medication distribution across our extensive Aged Care portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain automated packaging machinery, specifically our Yuyama Proud sachet packer (including canister replenishment, DTA tray loading, and paper maintenance).
- Run automated optical checking and verification using the ZiuZ Iris sachet scanner, identifying and rectifying packing discrepancies with high accuracy.
- Process, queue, and manage electronic prescription profiles and batch dispensing using Fred Dispense.
- Manage cloud-based electronic medication records, eNRMC profiles, and facility communications via BestMed.
- Perform routine cleaning, calibration, troubleshooting, and inventory control for automated packing canisters and consumable supplies.
- Assist pharmacists with medication assembly, labeling, and record-keeping in accordance with Quality Care Pharmacy Program (QCPP) standards.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience operating automated pharmacy packing machinery or working as a Pharmacy Technician / Dispensary Assistant (aged care or hospital packing background highly regarded).
- Technical Fluency: Hands-on experience with automated sachet packers (Yuyama), optical checking systems (ZiuZ Iris), or software tools such as Fred Dispense and BestMed.
- Meticulous Precision: Exceptional attention to detail and a strong focus on patient safety, quality assurance, and accuracy.
- Team Alignment: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining clear communication with dispensary pharmacists and support staff.
