This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.
About The Opportunity
In the role of Pharmacy Dispensary Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy dispensary, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of pharmacy services. You will lead dispensary staff, optimizes workflow processes, maintains regulatory compliance, and supports the achievement of operational, financial, and patient care objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all dispensary operations to ensure accurate, timely, and safe medication dispensing.
- Lead, coach, and develop pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy regulations, professional standards, and company policies.
- Monitor and improve dispensary workflows, productivity, and service quality.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance, medication safety, and risk management programs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and stakeholders to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Manage inventory control, procurement, and stock management processes.
- Analyze operational metrics and develop initiatives to improve efficiency and performance.
- Support budgeting, resource planning, and financial management activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to strategic pharmacy projects.

About You
- Registered as a practicing pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with a high level of broad generalist and/or specialist knowledge, and an unencumbered drivers licence. Please upload a copy of your licence to your application.
- Significant experience and a demonstrated high level of competence, expertise, skill and application of clinical judgment in clinical pharmacy services relevant to defined practice area(s),as outlined within the role title.
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example in proactively building and maintaining cooperative professional patient-centred relationships through the application of well-developed written, verbal, interpersonal, negotiation, influencing, and conflict resolution skills to assist in building a positive work culture.
Successful track record of active participation in professional development, evidence-informed practice and continuous improvement in area of specialty.
