An established structural engineering consultancy is looking for a Senior Structural Drafter to join its Adelaide team.
This is a hands on role at the centre of the project delivery process. You will turn engineering design into accurate, build ready documentation across a varied workload. Commercial, industrial, residential all feature.
The business has a strong project pipeline and a reputation for quality. You will work directly with engineers and project leads, not at arm's length from them. Your detailing will carry real weight in how projects get built.
- Produce structural drawings and documentation for steel, concrete and timber structures
- Develop models and detailed drawings from engineer sketches, markups and design intent
- Detail connections, footings, slabs, framing and reinforcement to a high standard
- Coordinate documentation with architects, builders and other consultants
- Run drawing registers and keep document control tight across project stages
- Check and mentor junior and intermediate drafters where needed
- Flag buildability and coordination issues early and offer practical fixes
- Keep documentation aligned with relevant Australian Standards and project specifications
- Strong structural detailing experience across multiple materials and project types
- Confidence working independently from engineer markups with minimal rework
- Sound knowledge of structural documentation standards and detailing conventions
- A sharp eye for accuracy, coordination and buildability
- The ability to manage your own workload across several live projects
- Clear communication with engineers, drafters and external consultants
- A collaborative approach and a willingness to lift the standard of those around you
- Revit (structural)
- AutoCAD
