We are growing our team and are seeking reliable, compassionate and professional Disability Support Workers who are passionate about supporting people to live independently, participate in their communities and achieve their individual goals.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker with BestCarers, you will provide personalised support based on each participant's individual needs, preferences and goals.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting participants with daily living activities
- Personal activities and household tasks
- Community access and participation
- Shopping, appointments and recreational activities
- Transport and outings
- Developing independence and life skills
- Supporting employment and education goals
- Providing companionship and social support
- Following individual support plans and organisational procedures
- Maintaining professional boundaries and participant confidentiality
- Completing required documentation and shift notes
About You
We are looking for people who are:
- Compassionate, respectful and patient
- Reliable and punctual
- Professional and well presented
- Able to communicate effectively
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Committed to person-centred support
- Flexible and willing to support participants with different needs
- Available for weekday and/or weekend shifts
Previous disability or community support experience is highly regarded, but we also welcome applications from suitable people who are looking to build a career in the disability sector.
Locations
Opportunities are available across Perth metropolitan areas, including:
Rockingham | Southern Perth | Aveley | Surrounding Perth suburbs

Requirements
Depending on the role and participant requirements, applicants may need to provide relevant qualifications, screening and compliance documentation.
A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle will be highly regarded for community-based support roles.
