Own the electrical design process from first concept through to commissioning, on systems that are actually cleaning up the environment.
Our client is a well-established Australian company, their engineering team is small, hands-on, and genuinely collaborative.
What you'll be doing
- Leading detailed electrical design across projects: equipment selection, cable schedules, IO lists, load lists, system architecture, wiring diagrams, SLDs, loop diagrams, control schematics, BOMs
- Running design calculations to AS3000, AS3008 and AS61439
- Coordinating and running FATs and SATs to make sure every system performs before it leaves the factory
- Working directly with clients in HAZOPs, design reviews and site meetings — your input shapes the outcome, not just the drawing
- Supporting automation and controls work across PLC/SCADA platforms (Allen Bradley or similar)
- Getting out to site to test, troubleshoot, and support field service when needed
What you'll bring
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering (or related)
- Proven experience producing wiring diagrams, SLDs, loop diagrams and control schematics
- Confidence with Australian Standards and electrical design software/CAD
- PLC/SCADA exposure — Allen Bradley experience a strong plus
- FAT/SAT coordination experience
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and comfort working directly with clients
Pay: $90,000.00 – $152,029.40 per year
