The WWP Café is a professional café and catering venue dedicated to serving company staff
and corporate teams. We provide fresh, high-quality breakfast, lunch, and catering services
in a welcoming and efficient environment.
We specialise in catering for functions of all sizes — from small meetings of 10 people to
large-scale events catering for up to 700 guests. In addition, we offer fine dining experiences
tailored to corporate functions and special occasions, delivering exceptional food and
professional service in a unique setting.
The Opportunity
The WWP Café is seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated full-time Cook to join
our kitchen team on a permanent basis. Working a minimum of 38 hours per week, you will
work closely with the manager to oversee all day-to-day kitchen operations, from
preparation through to service.

Main Duties
- Examining ingredients and foodstuffs to ensure freshness, quality, and
consistency.
- Regulating the temperatures of ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
- Portioning food accurately, plating dishes, and applying sauces, gravies, and
garnishes to presentation standards.
- Preparing meals to accommodate dietary requirements, allergies, and special
requests.
- Ensuring food is stored, handled, and prepared in accordance with food safety and
hygiene regulations.
- Assisting with menu planning, food preparation schedules, and estimating
ingredient requirements.
- Monitoring stock levels, rotating stock, and assisting with ordering supplies and
ingredients.
- Minimising food wastage while maintaining quality and portion control standards.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations, equipment, and
storage areas.
- Working efficiently during busy breakfast, lunch, and catering service periods.
- Assisting in the preparation and delivery of corporate catering and large-scale
functions.
- Collaborating with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth daily
operations.
- Training, supervising, and providing guidance to apprentices and junior kitchen
staff where required.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
- Contributing new ideas for menu items, seasonal dishes, and catering options.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you must meet the skill level requirements for Australia
(ANZSCO Skill Level 3):
An AQF Certificate III (including at least 2 years of on-the-job training) or an AQF
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
Alternatively, at least three years of relevant, verifiable experience as a Cook may
substitute for formal qualifications.
Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety standards, and temperature
control.
Excellent time-management skills with the ability to handle a fast-paced breakfast
and lunch service.
A passion for culinary excellence (experience or interest in baking/pastry is highly
regarded).
Experience in preparing and coordinating catering services for corporate events and
large functions.
Ability to manage catering orders, food preparation, and service for events ranging
from small meetings to large-scale functions.
Pay: $76,600.00 – $80,000.00 per year
