Own Major Infrastructure Projects Across Regional WA
Join Horizon Power's
Commercial Division as a
Project Manager and help shape the future of energy and infrastructure across regional Western Australia.
We're seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in
project development rather than project delivery. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys identifying opportunities, navigating complexity and driving projects through evaluation, approvals and investment decision. Unlike delivery focused project management roles, you'll work at the front end of the project lifecycle, developing business cases, evaluating options and bringing together stakeholders from across the business to solve complex customer, infrastructure and energy challenges.
This is an opportunity for a commercially minded project professional who thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership of outcomes and enjoys turning ideas into viable projects. You'll work across a diverse portfolio including major customer connections, capacity expansion projects, new energy solutions and infrastructure investments that support regional growth throughout WA.
Your role in action:
- Lead complex infrastructure, customer connection and energy projects from concept through to investment decision.
- Develop robust business cases, investment proposals and recommendations that support strategic priorities.
- Partner with engineering, legal, commercial, land, environmental, engagement, financial and operational stakeholders to build alignment and drive outcomes.
- Manage project scope, scheduling, budget, risk and governance across multiple initiatives.
- Navigate ambiguity and resolve complex challenges to deliver practical, commercially viable solutions.
What you’ll bring:
- Significant project management experience within infrastructure, utilities, energy or similarly complex industries.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance technical, customer and financial outcomes.
- Demonstrated expertise in business case development, feasibility assessment and investment planning.
- A relevant tertiary qualification, with Engineering highly regarded
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence and negotiate across diverse groups.
- A proactive, ownership driven mindset and a passion for solving complex business challenges.
