Sitting within the Chief Operating Officer Portfolio, the Governance team is responsible for Council secretariat, First Nations engagement, risk management, and organisational performance and reporting, among other functions. It is a dynamic team with a diverse and engaging range of work that connects with every part of the business.
This position is ideal for a motivated and adaptable professional who enjoys working with people, coordinating activities and contributing to organisational success. The role provides a unique opportunity to develop a broad understanding of how a national cultural institution operates within the Australian Government environment. You will gain exposure to governance, planning, policy, risk, reporting, assurance, Council and Committee processes, and the delivery of whole-of-agency priorities, including the National Gallery’s Reconciliation Action Plan.
