A wonderful new opportunity to work alongside and support a multidisciplinary team at a newly formed Medicare Mental Health Centre (MMHC) with a Diverse and inclusive values-based organisation that prides itself on being flexible and supportive.
About the role
The Pathways Facilitator will be required to provide appropriate administrative support to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of services at the MMHC by:
- Engaging and building positive rapport with Communify participants, stakeholders, referrers, carers and families through the management of inquiries via phone, email and text
- Providing appropriate support and advice to participants, organisations and external stakeholders
- Receiving, assessing and managing incoming referrals via Redicase, Primary Mental Health Care System (PMHCIS) email, phone and fax, ensuring KPI’s are being met
- Undertaking data entry, scanning and other administrative services to support team members in providing services to participants and for statistical reporting purposes.
- Maintaining office supplies, stock taking and ordering as needed.
- Manage incoming calls and emails from participants who may be experiencing challenges with their mental health or in crisis and provide appropriate trauma-informed support
- Coordinate the running of group programs, including planning, monitoring and data collection
- Maintaining client notes, database records, other information records or systems, use Microsoft Outlook for emails and calendar to ensure information is current and accurate
Role criteria
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in the Community Services/Mental Health Sector
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of administrative practices, procedures and processes
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across multiple modalities
- Demonstrated ability to be confident, articulate and empathetic when working with participants who experience challenges with their mental health
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, set priorities, and meet deadlines, accompanied by an ability to handle a number of tasks concurrently with minimum supervision
- We work with people who are often experiencing difficult and complex life circumstances. A demonstrated ability to respond flexibly and constructively to uncertainty and ambiguity will be required.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications
Additional requirements
- A current open QLD driver’s license.
- Working with Children card and Working with People with a Disability check (or the ability to obtain one) is mandatory.
- A criminal record check will be undertaken for the successful applicant, with ongoing employment dependent on the outcome.
