About the role
TML Yard Works is a growing local business servicing residential, aged-care and commercial properties throughout the Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills, Gawler and surrounding areas.
We’re at an exciting stage of growth and are looking for a casual gardening employee to join the business.
This will initially be a casual position of approximately 10 hours per week, with the expectation that hours will increase as our client base continues to grow. For the right person who is reliable, takes pride in their work and wants to grow with the business, there is potential for significantly more hours and responsibility in the future.
Your work will include:
- Lawn mowing
- Whipper snipping and edging
- Weeding and garden-bed maintenance
- Hedge trimming and pruning
- General garden and property clean-ups
- Leaf and green-waste removal
- Blowing down paths, driveways and outdoor areas
- Basic grounds maintenance
- Loading, unloading and caring for gardening equipment
- Working at residential, aged-care and commercial properties
- Other general gardening duties as required
What we're looking for:
We’re looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking and takes genuine pride in leaving a property looking great.
You will need:
- Previous gardening, landscaping, grounds-maintenance or similar experience preferred, but not required
- Confidence using or willing to learn how to use common gardening equipment such as lawn mowers, whipper snippers, blowers and hedge trimmers
- A current driver's licence
- A reliable vehicle with either a tow ball or suitable ute tray preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage your time
- Good attention to detail
- Good communication and a friendly, professional manner
- A reasonable level of physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors
- Reliability and punctuality
- Respect for clients, their homes and their property
- Ability to follow safe work practices and look after equipment
Because some of our work involves aged-care clients and other vulnerable members of the community, the successful applicant will need to be willing and able to obtain any required police clearance or relevant screening for the work we undertake.

Hours and location
Work is primarily throughout theBarossa Valley, Adelaide Hills, Gawler and surrounding areas.
Hours will initially be approximately 10 hours per week and may vary depending on bookings, weather and client requirements.
We are looking for someone who has some flexibility with their availability and would be interested in increasing their hours as more work becomes available.
About you
This role would suit someone who already has gardening or grounds-maintenance experience and wants additional regular work, or someone looking to build a longer-term career in the industry.
You don't need to know everything on day one. Attitude, reliability and pride in your work are extremely important to us.
