Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to support the delivery of reliable, secure and high-quality software solutions across enterprise environments.
The role will be responsible for planning, designing and executing manual and automated testing across applications, APIs, integrations and end-to-end business processes. The successful candidate will work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners and DevOps teams throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse business and technical requirements and develop appropriate test strategies, plans and test cases.
- Perform functional, system, integration, regression, smoke and end-to-end testing.
- Design, develop and maintain automated test suites.
- Perform API and integration testing across enterprise applications.
- Execute testing across development, test, UAT and production-like environments.
- Identify, document, prioritise and track defects through to resolution.
- Perform defect analysis and support root cause investigation.
- Work closely with developers to reproduce issues, validate fixes and improve software quality.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate testing with business stakeholders.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain test data, test environments and testing documentation.
- Produce test execution reports, defect metrics and quality dashboards.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, frameworks and automation.
- Ensure testing activities align with organisational security, quality and governance standards.
Technical Skills
Candidates should have experience across several of the following:
- Test Automation: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or equivalent
API Testing: Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI or equivalent
Programming/Scripting: Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript or C#
CI/CD: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or equivalent
Test Management: JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, TestRail or equivalent
Databases: SQL and database validation/testing
Version Control: Git
Cloud: Azure or AWS exposure desirable

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: From 80,001 to 90,000 AUD per annum plus Superannuation.
Pay: $80,001.00 – $90,000.00 per year
