About the role
You’ll be supporting a 12‑year‑old boy with Autism and ARFID (restricted eating). He has a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plan, so there are some behaviours to understand and manage – we’ll train and support you with this.
What you’ll be doing (examples):
- Hanging out and gaming together (his main interest)
- Supporting him to follow his PBS strategies when he’s upset or anxious
- Encouraging safe routines around meals and snacks (ARFID awareness)
- Providing respite for the family by being reliable, kind and engaged
Shift details
- When: Fridays, 2:00 pm – 5:30 pm (ongoing)
- Where: Aldinga area
- Extra hours: Additional respite / support sessions may be offered over time if it’s a good fit
- Pay: Competitive NDIS support worker rate, depending on experience and quals (discussed at interview)

- You can commit reliably to Friday afternoons in Aldinga

- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check (SA)
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Experience with autism, behaviours of concern, or similar is ideal (but we will consider the right attitude and fit)
