As our operations continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and organised Fleet Manager to oversee the daily management of our fleet, ensuring vehicles remain safe, compliant, well-maintained, and available to meet operational requirements.
About the Role
As the Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for managing RA1 Pty Ltd's fleet and ensuring efficient day-to-day fleet operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Organising the purchase and maintenance of transport vehicles, equipment and fuel.
- Liaising with clients to determine transport requirements and providing advice regarding vehicle types, transport arrangements, hire rates and obligations, while handling customer enquiries and complaints.
- Receiving transport orders and bookings and planning and implementing transportation schedules.
- Ensuring goods are stored and transported under appropriate conditions to maintain quality.
- Arranging the collection and delivery of vehicles and transported goods.
- Maintaining business records and preparing operational statements and management reports.
- Coordinating fleet activities to ensure efficient loading, unloading and vehicle movements.
- Monitoring fleet performance and ensuring compliance with transport regulations and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Assisting with fleet procurement, disposal and asset management.
- Monitoring servicing schedules, vehicle registrations, insurance and compliance documentation.
- Managing fleet utilisation and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Diploma qualification or higher in Business, Logistics, Transport Management, Automotive Management or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- At least one (1) year of experience in fleet management, transport operations, logistics coordination or a similar role.
- Sound knowledge of vehicle servicing, maintenance scheduling and fleet compliance.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience maintaining fleet records and preparing operational reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fleet management systems.
- A current Australian Driver Licence.
