CALLING ALL CREATIVE, BUBBLY & PASSIONATE FEMALE SUPPORT WORKERS
Sometimes a support opportunity that is a little bit different comes along, and this is definitely one of them and it is an amazing opportunity.
Have you ever wanted to support a participant to chase their dream, grow a business, build confidence, and turn creative ideas into reality? Do you love creativity, community, market stalls, arts and crafts? Keep reading because this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
We have welcomed a participant to the New Wave Care community, and she has loads of creativity, passion, ideas, and entrepreneurial spirit. She loves creating, connecting with her community, and growing her small business, and we are searching for support workers who can support her to continue doing exactly that.
At New Wave Care, we always welcome applications from all passionate support workers. However, in line with this participant's choice and control, preferences, and support needs, we are currently looking to connect with 1–2 female support workers who will be the right fit for her support.
In line with the participant's choice and control, she has expressed a preference for support workers in a similar life stage and is ideally seeking female support workers in their 20s. However, finding the right connection, personality, and overall fit is the top priority.
We warmly welcome applications from female support workers under 50 years of age who feel they would be a fantastic fit for this role and are excited about supporting the participant's goals, interests, and small business journey. The participant has also requested that support be delivered in a non-smoking environment.
This isn't your average support worker role. This is a role for someone who gets excited about helping another person chase their dreams and goals. Someone who can celebrate the wins, think creatively, bring fresh ideas, and support a participant to chase her goals.
This role will include:
- Supporting the participant with her small business
- Assisting with social media content creation and posting
- Helping to create products
- Supporting stock takes and inventory management
- Tracking customer orders
- Assisting with ordering stock and supplies
- Helping set up and run market stalls and community events (applicants must be comfortable with 5:00am starts for these events)
- Supporting promotion and marketing activities
- Encouraging confidence, independence, and business growth
We would love to hear from support workers who are:
- Positive, bubbly, and bring energy into your supports
- Creative and enjoy arts, crafts, and hands-on activities
- Confident with social media platforms or willing to learn
- Proactive and able to take initiative
- Great at building genuine connections
- Excited by the idea of supporting someone with their small business goals
For supports on weekends, access to a larger vehicle would be required due to the nature of transporting products, stock, and market stall equipment.
As the participant is also focused on her health and wellbeing journey, we would also be particularly excited to hear from support workers who have experience, qualifications, or a strong interest in:
- Nutrition
- Healthy eating
- Dietetics
- Health and wellbeing coaching
