homes, working with architects and interior designers, and making
considered decisions about how their spaces look and feel. They're not
price shopping. They want expertise.

notices the floor — and you love talking about it — this might be
exactly the right move.
WHAT THE ROLE LOOKS LIKE
You'll work from our Byron Bay studio with homeowners, renovators,
designers, and builders across the Northern Rivers region. You'll be
the face of the business locally — helping customers navigate a
premium product range, understanding what they're trying to achieve,
and guiding them from first enquiry through to a confirmed job.
You'll also build relationships with the local trade community —
architects, builders, and interior designers who specify flooring on
multiple projects. There's serious earning potential here if you're
willing to do the relationship work.
WHO THIS ROLE SUITS
Someone who already understands premium retail or design — whether
that's flooring, surfaces, kitchen and bath, or a related industry.
You don't need to know every product from day one. You do need to be
genuinely interested in design, comfortable talking about aesthetics,
and capable of having a confident, consultative conversation with a
customer who knows exactly what they want.
The Byron Bay market is relationship-driven. If you're already
connected to the local design and building community — even better.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Experience in consultative retail or sales in a premium environment
- Genuine interest in interiors, design, and home renovation
- Ability to build and maintain trade relationships
- High personal standards that don't require supervision
- Full Australian working rights — we cannot offer sponsorship for this role
- Based in or around Byron Bay, or genuinely ready to relocate
Pay: $30.00 – $45.56 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Byron Bay NSW 2481: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Retail sales: 1 year (Preferred)
