Job Summary – Labourer (Metal Workshop)
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join our metal fabrication workshop team. This role involves assisting with the preparation and handling of steel components using a range of tools and machinery, including grinders, drills, and saws. The successful candidate will support tradespeople in day-to-day workshop operations, ensuring materials are cut, cleaned, and prepared accurately and efficiently. Would be using 9 inch Grinders to cut a lot of mesh sheeting and using magnetic drills to drill holes thru structural beams.
Key responsibilities include operating hand and power tools, handling raw and finished steel, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and assisting with basic fabrication tasks as required. Attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to workplace safety are essential.
Previous experience in a workshop or construction environment is advantageous but not essential. A current forklift licence would be highly regarded. Full training will be provided for the right candidate with a willingness to learn and develop skills within the metal fabrication industry.
Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
