In this role, you'll:
Join us as a Portfolio Cost Lead and provide portfolio-wide leadership in cost governance, financial performance and assurance across a major project and program portfolio. You will oversee forecasting, financial risk management and cost reporting, providing independent insights that support investment decisions, funding prioritisation and effective stewardship of public funds. Working closely with senior leaders, finance partners and delivery teams, you'll drive consistent cost management practices and improve financial governance across the portfolio.

About you
You're an experienced cost management, finance or project controls professional with a strong track record leading cost governance and financial oversight in complex delivery environments. You can confidently challenge forecasts, identify financial risks and provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders. You combine strong analytical capability with commercial acumen and are passionate about improving cost management maturity, forecasting accuracy and financial decision-making.
Technical Skills & Experience
- Cost planning, forecasting and financial governance
- Portfolio cost assurance and performance reporting
- Financial risk management and funding governance
- Cost modelling, scenario analysis and investment prioritisation
- Cost controls, cashflow management and variance analysis
- Cost dashboards and executive reporting
- Contractor claims, variations and cost recovery management
- Financial systems, data analytics and reporting tools
- NSW Treasury investment and assurance frameworks
- Procurement, contract management and audit readiness
