THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a motivated, financially and commercially astute Business Analyst to join our Group Planning and Analysis Team. Based at our Corporate Headquarters in the Perth CBD and reporting to the Group Planning & Analysis Manager, the Business Analyst will play a core role in Group and Subsidiary management reporting, conducting budgeting and forecasting activities and undertaking analysis of outcomes to drive financial decision making to optimise our business performance.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for:
- Delivering monthly management reporting requirements and contributing to Board reports, as required.
- Developing and integrating group-wide business intelligence tools and conducting financial modelling and analysis to support business planning and decision in areas such as pricing strategies, cost and productivity performance, and capital management.
- Maintaining and analysing key trends and KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
- Business partnering with key stakeholders in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure that changes and improvements in reporting/budgeting are implemented.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting (CA or CPA preferred), or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in financial modelling and analysis.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret, synthesize complex data, and problem solve.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Previous mining/resources industry experience desirable .
