About the role
Due to continued business growth, Contract Resources (CR) is seeking motivated and safety-focused High Pressure Water (HPW) Operators and HPW Assistants to join our Victoria team.
This role will primarily support local industrial services operations, with opportunities to mobilise to Oil & Gas projects, shutdowns and maintenance campaigns across Australia as required.
This is a hands-on role suited to individuals who enjoy working in dynamic environments and are committed to delivering specialised industrial cleaning services safely and efficiently. We welcome applications from experienced HPW Operators as well as current HPW Assistants looking to develop their skills and progress into Operator and Vacuum Truck roles through on-the-job training and career development opportunities.
This role would suit individuals seeking flexible or casual work between projects, those looking for ad hoc work while on RNR, or those wanting to build a long-term career within the Industrial Services industry.
Duties will include but are not limited to
- Manual High Pressure Water Blasting activities
- Assisting with tank cleaning, industrial cleaning and shutdown scopes
- Operating HPW equipment in accordance with procedures and site requirements
- Loading, unloading and preparing equipment for mobilisation and project activities
- Supporting Vacuum Truck operations and associated industrial services activities
- General labouring and manual handling duties
- Assisting with confined space entry activities and performing sentry/standby duties
- Participating in shutdowns, maintenance campaigns and project work across Oil & Gas and heavy industrial sites
- Ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with HSEQ and quality requirements
- Identifying hazards, reporting risks and contributing to a proactive safety culture
- Working collaboratively with supervisors, operators and clients to safely achieve project outcomes
Required Licences & Experience Needed
- Current Driver's Licence
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Working Safely at Heights certificate (within 2 years - essential)
- Enter & Work in Confined Spaces certificate (within 2 years - essential)
- Gas Test Atmosphere certificate (within 2 years - essential)
- MSMSS00018 – Operate High Pressure Water Jetting System (desirable for Assistants, essential for Operators)
- Vacuum Loading Operations Ticket (desirable)
- Breathing Apparatus (desirable)
- HR/HC Licence (highly desirable)
- High Risk Work Licence – Forklift, Dogging or Rigging (advantageous)
- Experience working within Oil & Gas, petrochemical or heavy industrial environments (highly regarded)
- Experience in High Pressure Water Blasting and industrial cleaning activities (highly regarded)
- Mechanical aptitude with a hands-on approach
- Strong commitment to Work Health and Safety
- Ability to work days, nights, weekends and away from home when required
- Full Australian work rights
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
