Become Someone's Trusted Support Worker - ELSTERNWICK
About Us:
At Carer’s Network, care isn’t just what we do — it’s who we are.
As a proud local, family-owned organisation, we believe that the best support starts with genuine human connection. We’re big enough to provide stability, opportunity, and professional support — yet small enough to know your name, value your contribution, and celebrate the difference you make every single day.
Our mission is simple but powerful: to help older Australians and NDIS participants live independently, safely, and with dignity in the place they feel most comfortable — their own home.
Some of the most rewarding support work isn't about doing more—it's about being there and becoming a familiar and trusted face.
We're looking for a compassionate Support Worker to support a gentleman to live independently, stay connected to his community, and enjoy the things that matter to him. You'll work one-on-one, building a genuine relationship based on trust, respect and consistency. Experience supporting people living with schizophrenia is highly regarded, but your empathy, patience and commitment to person-centred support are what matter most.
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting personal care with dignity and respect.
- Encouraging independence with everyday activities.
- Supporting community access and social participation.
- Sharing a conversation, a laugh, or a coffee while building trust and confidence.
- Assisting with light household duties to maintain a safe and welcoming home.
We're Looking for Someone Who
- Genuinely enjoys helping people live their best lives.
- Understands that great support starts with patience, empathy, and respect.
- Is dependable, positive, and takes pride in doing the little things well.
- Has previous Support Worker experience.
- Has experience supporting people living with schizophrenia or psychosocial disabilities (great, but not essential—we value attitude just as much as experience).
What's In It for You?
- Competitive hourly rates
- Consistent weekly shifts you can count on
- A leadership team that knows your name and values your contribution
- Ongoing training and opportunities to grow your career
- A positive workplace culture where you're supported to succeed
Essential Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one).
