About the Role
Reporting to the IT Director, the IT Officer will provide day-to-day technical support across the hotel, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and securely. You’ll be the go-to person for staff and guests alike, helping resolve issues quickly while contributing to ongoing improvements in our technology landscape.
Salary of $80,000 - $90,000 + Superannuation package under the HIGA award classification.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide daily operational support to the IT Director, including managing system requests, service tickets, and IT-related inquiries.
· Deliver technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
· Monitor and respond to help desk tickets in line with 1 Hotels standards and service levels.
· Support hotel guests with technology-related inquiries and ensure a smooth digital experience.
· Maintain and support internal network infrastructure and systems across the property.
· Assess hardware and software requirements to meet evolving business needs.
· Installation, configuration, and maintenance of systems and applications.
· Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and performance checks.
· Ensure all company devices (laptops, servers, workstations, and mobile devices) are secure, updated, and compliant with endpoint security standards.
· Document system configurations, procedures, and updates as required.
· Support IT setup for hotel events, meetings, and presentations.
· Conduct quality audits of IT applications in collaboration with the IT Director.
· Ensure data security and compliance with SH Group / 1 Hotels IT policies and procedures.
· Collaborate with other departments to identify, recommend, and implement cost-effective technology solutions.
About You
· Strong multitasking abilities with a calm, solution-oriented approach.
· Quick thinker with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
· Excellent communication skills with a service-first mindset.
· Experience in IT support, ideally within hospitality or a customer-facing environment.
· Solid understanding of networking, hardware, software, and security practices.
· Ability to work collaboratively across departments and adapt to changing priorities.
· Minimum Bachelor of IT required
· Understands the role may require you to work outside of normal office hours
