Are you passionate about making a positive impact to our members dignified retirement? The Hostplus Content Specialist is responsible for the conceptualisation and production of engaging, unique and compelling written content for paid, owned and earned channels. They will create and maintain written content that educates, inspires and connects with Hostplus’ key audiences and is consistent with the Hostplus brand and tone of voice. They will also draw on experience and expertise to offer strategic advice around best practice multi-platform content.
This role forms a key part of our high performing marketing team as we strive to deliver market-leading content that reflects the Hostplus brand pillars.
The suitable candidate will be resourceful, creative, insightful & possess a sharp intellect. They will be an excellent written and verbal communicator with the ability to find and tell the stories of our members, employers and partners who embody the spirit and community of the Hostplus brand. This role is available in our Melbourne or Adelaide offices.
The opportunity
- Conceptualise, produce and edit written content for paid, owned and earned media channels that includes ad copy, web and social copy, editorial, blog articles, speeches and B2C/B2B communications.
- Develop and manage Hostplus communications that are easy to understand and offer value to members and employers.
- Source and showcase stories and talent from within Hostplus staff, member, employer and partner communities.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand, tone of voice, legal and compliance requirements.
- Identify opportunities and provide solutions to improve the customer experience through clear and simple content.
- Ensure content takes a member/customer centric approach.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, as well as suppliers to deliver quality content to tight deadlines.
- Contribute to the ongoing management of Hostplus’ campaign collateral and ensure it includes content that is current, engaging, accurate and relevant.
- Support other members of the marketing team in their communication efforts and ensure monitoring for compliance with the appropriate legislation.
- Work with the marketing team to produce reporting and analysis of content i.e. what is resonating most strongly with Hostplus key audiences.
- Identify key metrics to measure success of content.
About you
- Tertiary qualification in journalism, marketing, communications or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering written content within an agency environment or custom publishing, with a portfolio of high-quality work.
- Previous experience in superannuation or financial services would be highly regarded, but not essential.
- Proven experience producing written content for multiple channels, with a portfolio of high-quality work.
- Excellent copywriting skills, including confident editing and proofreading.
- Ability to drive engagement across key audiences while ensuring content aligns with the brand.
- Ability to present complex information in a simple and easy understand format.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Negotiation and influencing skills.
- Ability to structure interviews and develop questions to elicit the best response from talent.
- Willingness to adhere to legislative, compliance and advertising requirements and specifications.
- Passionate about storytelling and producing quality content.
- A positive, creative mindset.
- Organisational and time management expertise with the ability to adhere to tight deadlines, where necessary.
- The ability to operate collaboratively and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
