We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Disability Support Worker to join our growing team.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide personalised support to participants in accordance with their individual care plans, promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care and support to participants in accordance with individual support plans.
- Assist participants with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and personal hygiene.
- Support participants with mobility, transfers and the use of mobility aids where required.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding and other daily living activities.
- Provide domestic assistance, including light household cleaning, laundry and maintaining a safe living environment.
- Support participants to access community activities, appointments and social programs to promote independence and inclusion.
- Observe, monitor and report changes in participants' health, wellbeing or behaviour to supervisors and relevant healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate care records, progress notes and incident reports in accordance with organisational policies.
- Work collaboratively with participants, families and multidisciplinary professionals to deliver high-quality support.
- Comply with NDIS Practice Standards, workplace health and safety requirements, and organisational policies.
Skills and Experience
- Relevant certificate in Disability, Individual Support, Aged Care or a related field.
- Previous experience working with people with disability is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient and professional approach to supporting participants.
- Valid Driver Licence and reliable transport.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (where required).

Pay: $73,000.00 – $76,000.00 per year
