In this role, you'll:
Work as part of a team delivering cyber defence, threat detection, and incident response for critical government transport systems, this role leads the rapid identification, containment, and resolution of cyber security incidents while strengthening organisational resilience through proactive detection and continuous improvement.
This role will see you leading end-to-end incident response, developing and tuning SIEM/EDR/SOAR detection content, and driving proactive threat hunting and vulnerability analysis to identify emerging risks.
You will manage key relationships with MSSPs, vendors, and government partners, and deliver post-incident insights that improve detection, response, and recovery in a 24×7 operational environment.
This role is based in Macquarie Park and you will work in a hybrid environment.

About you
You will enhance cyber defence capability, improve response efficiency, and uplift monitoring and detection maturity across complex systems in a high-pressure environment.
Your strong experience in cyber incident response, threat detection, and security operations across enterprise, government, or critical infrastructure environments will see you confidently manage complex incidents and improve defensive capability.
You’re recognised as a technically strong cyber security practitioner, skilled in incident response, threat hunting, and detection engineering, and experienced in SIEM/EDR environments operating under time-critical conditions.
