The role:
We are currently looking for Experienced Hatchery Technicians based at our Pipeclay Lagoon Hatchery at Clifton Beach. This would suit someone looking to continue and expand their career in a clean, green, and sustainable industry. Someone with a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to follow directions and procedures.
Our Hatchery technicians assist to complete vital day to day tasks that are vital to support the breeding, spawning, and rearing of oyster larvae. Specifically, your tasks will involve:
– Follow procedures, and routines vital for the health and quality of our oysters
- Routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning tanks and equipment.
- Monitoring water quality parameters
– Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals.
– Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

About you:
– 3-5 years experience in a similar hatchery environment
– Ability to follow directions, procedures, and routine tasks with precision.
– Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
– Excellent work ethic and willingness to work hard.
– Flexibility with working hours, including weekends, as the role may require it. In return, we will also offer flexibility.
– A desire for career progression within the aquaculture industry.
– Have ability to work additional shifts from time-to-time to assist in meeting production requirements
