Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Warehouse Assistant with a current forklift license to join our packing and dispatch team. This is a permanent full-time position, 6 days per week, with 10 hour shifts per day.
This role is responsible for day-to-day warehouse duties, including loading and unloading trucks, palletising stock, and maintaining clean, organised cool rooms and dry store areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to safely load and unload trucks.
- Prepare and wrap pallets for storage and dispatch.
- Accurately move, stack, and store products in cool rooms and dry store areas.
- Assist with picking and staging goods for orders.
- Maintain warehouse organisation, ensuring areas are kept clean, tidy, and compliant with food safety standards.
- Conduct stock rotation and assist with inventory checks as required.
- Follow all workplace health, safety, and food safety procedures.
Requirements
- Current and valid Forklift Licence (LF).
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team.
- Good communication skills and basic English literacy.
- MR Truck License will be viewed favourably.
