What you will do
As manager, criminal law policy, you will lead work that helps shape Victoria's criminal justice system.
You will guide reform projects and support the Attorney-General's priorities in a fast-moving environment.
You will:
- lead a team delivering complex criminal law reform work
- provide expert advice to senior leaders and government
- work across teams to address challenging policy issues
- prepare high-quality cabinet, parliamentary and ministerial documents
- build an inclusive, collaborative and high-performing team culture.
About you
You must hold a tertiary qualification in law.
Experience working in justice policy or government is highly desirable.
You should also have:
- experience leading complex policy projects within the justice system
- strong people leadership and team management skills
- expertise in legal policy, legal practice or law reform, ideally in criminal law
- the ability to communicate clearly, influence others and adapt to changing priorities.
