Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyse drawings and specifications to identify the necessary materials, dimensions, and installation methods.
- Select suitable timber and materials, then prepare layouts for construction.
- Cut, assemble, and secure parts to build frameworks, fittings, and structures.
- Remove old, and install new doors, windows and balustrades.
- Accurately cut and shape wood joints to the required dimensions.
- Construct concrete formwork as required.
- Repair and renovate existing structures and fittings.
- Work with other materials such as plastic laminates, Perspex, and metals when necessary.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3 years of full-time relevant industry experience (or equivalent part-time experience) specifically in class 2 remedial construction sites.
- In-depth knowledge of carpentry principles, construction methods, and building standards.
- Proficiency with construction tools and equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance requirements.
- Attention to detail and precision in measurements and construction processes.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
Experience:
- Remedial Construction in class 2 buildings: 3 years (Required)
Licence/Certification:
- Cert 3 in carpentry or equivalent qualification (Required)
