Factory hand - Color blending/Batching

With a global presence across 19 countries, our clients are a the world's leading textiles business specializing in all facets of fabrics and textiles design and technology associated with mattresses and sleep fabrics.
We are looking for a factory hand who has some general factory/manufacturing experience and more importantly some mechanical aptitude. The role is operating and maintaining stent machines that add and heat color to textiles/materials, so some mechanical know how is highly advantageous in learning how to perform maintenance on these machines.
The role will start as casual moving to permanent.
Key responsibilities:
- Operating Stent machines that add and heat color to textile materials - Full training provided
- Maintaining Chemical/color inventory
- Maintaining machines
- Packing stock and batching
- Moving stock with forklift(if licensed)
Key requirements:
- Mechanically minded
- General factory and/or manufacturing experience
- Machine operation experience with a high attention to detail
- Good communicator who can work in a small team
- Forklift license ( Highly regarded but not essential )
- Brand new purpose built facility in Pakenham
- Global brand/company
- 7am start
- Small team, excellent working conditions
- Immediate start, weekly pay
