What your day could look like
As a Registered Midwife - Caseload, you'll play a vital role in supporting women and families through pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. Working within a continuity of care model, you'll build trusted relationships, provide personalised care, and help deliver positive experiences and outcomes for the community while being supported by a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
Providing holistic, evidence-based care that supports women to make informed choices throughout their maternity journey.
Building strong partnerships with women, families and healthcare professionals to achieve safe, coordinated and person-centred outcomes.
Applying clinical judgement and problem-solving skills to deliver high-quality care across a range of maternity settings.
Supporting a culture of learning, quality improvement and excellence in midwifery practice.
Let's talk about you!
You're a midwife who brings compassion, confidence and sound judgement to every interaction. You value continuity of care and build trusted relationships that help women and families feel supported and empowered. Guided by integrity, dignity and courage, you thrive working autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a current practising certificate.
Demonstrated midwifery experience with strong clinical assessment, decision-making and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a woman-centred approach.
Commitment to ongoing professional development, quality improvement and culturally safe care.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have recent experience in continuity of care or caseload midwifery and/or postgraduate studies relevant to maternity services.
Above all, you'll bring the values we live by at Darling Downs Health: Compassion, Integrity, Dignity, Innovation and Courage.
Together, you'll help deliver exceptional maternity care that strengthens families, communities and futures.
