Nihilent Australia Pty Ltd. is seeking an experienced AI Solution Designer to lead the design, architecture, governance, and architecture assurance of AI, Data, and Automation solutions across enterprise technology environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of enterprise AI, Data, and Automation solutions.
- Develop and maintain architecture artefacts, including conceptual architectures, High-Level Solution Designs, Detailed Solution Designs, integration designs, and operational support models.
- Define secure technical solution patterns, reference architectures, engineering patterns, DevOps patterns, AI platform standards, and reusable architecture accelerators.
- Design enterprise AI solutions using Azure AI services, Generative AI, RAG, AI agents, Copilot Studio, Dataverse, Power Platform, and related technologies.
- Define cloud, infrastructure, networking, identity and access, security, data protection, integration, and operational requirements for AI solutions.
- Identify infrastructure dependencies, technical risks, and appropriate security controls.
- Support architecture governance, design reviews, security assessments, risk assessments, and architecture approval processes.
- Facilitate architecture workshops and collaborate with business stakeholders, Cyber Security, Architecture, Infrastructure, Technology, and delivery teams.
- Provide technical guidance to project and delivery teams throughout solution design and implementation phases.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, supportable, and aligned with enterprise architecture principles and technology standards.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in Solution Architecture or Senior Technical Design within large enterprise environments.
- Experience working within established architecture governance frameworks.
- Strong experience preparing architecture artefacts and governance submissions.
- Experience presenting solutions to architecture, design, security, or governance forums.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure and enterprise cloud architecture.
- Experience with Azure identity and access management, networking, cloud security, integration architecture, platform governance, and operational support.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, pull request governance, DevSecOps, and software engineering governance.
- Strong understanding of networking, security principles, cloud infrastructure, data protection, and security control mapping.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and workshop facilitation skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical, build-ready technical solution designs.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Dataverse, and SharePoint.
- Experience designing AI Agents and LLM-based solutions.
- Knowledge of RAG architectures, vector databases, and AI orchestration patterns.
- Practical knowledge of Azure AI services and enterprise AI platforms.
- Experience designing Generative AI solutions and AI governance frameworks.
- Experience defining reusable architecture, engineering, integration, DevOps, and AI platform standards.
- Experience supporting secure-by-design assessments, Cyber Security reviews, risk assessments, and architecture governance processes.

About the Role
This is an opportunity to work on enterprise-scale AI and technology initiatives, collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and governance-aligned solutions.
Pay: $105,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
