Seeking a compassionate and experienced Female Disability Support Worker to provide consistent, high-quality support for a NDIS participant located in Mount Martha, Victoria.
This role is suited to someone who has a strong understanding of trauma-informed care, mental health support, and the importance of building trust and consistency in a participant relationship.
Shift Details
Location: Mount Martha, VIC
Employment Type: Casual with potential for ongoing hours
Days: 5 days per week
Hours: Morning and evening shifts available
About the Role
You will be supporting a female participant with her daily living needs, including:
- Post-surgery personal care and assistance with daily routines.
- Supporting personal hygiene and wellbeing.
- Providing social support and companionship.
- Encouraging independence and confidence.
- Building a safe, consistent, and trusting relationship.
- Providing emotional support using a trauma-informed approach.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, or equivalent (or relevant experience).
- Female Support Worker (participant preference).
- Experience providing personal care.
- Understanding of mental health and trauma-informed support is highly regarded.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
- Reliable and insured vehicle.
