About the Role
EPEC Group is seeking a Contract Manager to support the successful delivery of EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects through effective contract management and stakeholder collaboration.
This role is ideal for a contract professional with 5+ years of experience who thrives in a collaborative environment, can influence stakeholders, and brings strong expertise in contract drafting, negotiating and management grounded in real project delivery conditions.
You will play a key role in ensuring contracts reflect practical risk allocation, balancing commercial, operational, and stakeholder needs to enable successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management & Delivery
- Manage contracts across the full lifecycle (pre-award to execution and close-out)
- Draft, review, and lead negotiation of contracts aligned with project delivery and commercial objectives
- Ensure contracts accurately reflect site conditions, project risks, and delivery realities
- Manage changes, claims, and disputes with integrity, reinforcing EPEC Group's reputation as a trusted partner.
Stakeholder Management and Collaboration
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers
- Work closely with stakeholders to support transparency and alignment across stakeholder groups
- Influence decision-making through clear communication of risks, impacts, and outcomes
- Collaborate with SMEs to integrate technical, legal, and operational inputs into contracts
Risk Identification & Commercial Insight
- Identify, assess, and articulate contractual and project risks in an EPC context
- Translate operational and project risks into effective contractual protections
- Manage the pass through of contractual and project risk to subcontractors and suppliers
- Identify commercial opportunities and support cost control to secure value-for-money outcomes
Process Improvement & Support
- Drive improved contract management frameworks and processes
- Provide guidance to project teams on contract interpretation and compliance
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
Workplace Health & Safety
- Ensure contract activities align with WHS requirements and EPEC safety standards
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
About You
Essential
- 5+ years of relevant legal, contracting or commercial delivery experience within EPC, construction, infrastructure or energy sectors
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end contract lifecycle
- Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
- Ability to translate on-the-ground project realities into practical contract solutions
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Desirable
- Experience in EPC projects or bid/tender environments
- Exposure to project costing, pricing, or commercial models
- Relevant qualification in Law, Business, Finance, or related discipline
