Lead Kitchen Operations in Aged Care
Location: Wanneroo, Western Australia
Salary: $92,000 + Super
Roster: Monday to Friday roster (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM) – weekends off
Cater Care is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef Manager to lead kitchen operations at one of our aged care sites in the Wanneroo, Western Australia.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll combine culinary expertise with meaningful impact, leading a dedicated team to deliver nutritious, high-quality meals that enhance the wellbeing of residents every day.
Working in a supportive and collaborative environment, you’ll take ownership of daily kitchen operations, ensure exceptional food standards, and create a positive dining experience for residents in care.

What You'll Be Doing
As Chef Manager, you will oversee the full kitchen operation while leading a committed culinary team.
Leading, mentoring and developing kitchen staff
Overseeing food preparation and presentation to ensure consistent quality
Managing large-scale catering operations efficiently
Maintaining food safety, hygiene and compliance standards
Preparing texture-modified and specialised dietary meals (IDDSI)
Managing stock control, ordering and kitchen administration
Contributing to seasonal menus and continuous improvement initiatives
Skills and Experiences:
About You
You are a confident, hands-on hospitality leader who takes pride in delivering high-quality food and developing strong teams.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
A valid Driver’s Licence
Previous experience in a Chef Manager, Head Chef or similar leadership role
Strong experience managing kitchen operations and leading teams
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
A genuine passion for aged care and improving resident wellbeing
