Accounts Receivable professional looking for a flexible part-time opportunity?
Beacon Building Services is seeking a motivated Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team based in Altona.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll manage accounts receivable processes while supporting the wider team with administration and occasional phone overflow.
You’ll be working across multiple systems and portals, helping keep our financial processes accurate and on track.
We offer flexibility with
24–32 hours per week, worked across
Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 5:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate invoices and account statements
- Maintain accurate accounts receivable records
- Monitor outstanding debtors and proactively follow up on overdue accounts
- Investigate and resolve account queries and discrepancies
- Process and allocate client payments
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Assist with month-end processes
- Provide support for AR/AP queries across the business
- Work across multiple portals and systems
- Assist with general administration and provide overflow phone support
About You
- Previous experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar finance role
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Confident navigating multiple systems and portals
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to confidently follow up outstanding payments
- A proactive, team-oriented approach and willingness to support across admin functions
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
