Support the program establishing and operationalising the new Woodford Youth Detention Centre. This is an opportunity to contribute to a significant and complex program of work supporting the successful readiness and operation of a new centre.
The Senior Program Officer (AO6) provides coordination, reporting and analytical support across a complex, non-ICT program of organisational, workforce, operational and cultural initiatives delivered through multiple workstreams. The role supports effective program delivery by maintaining strong reporting, governance and coordination processes that provide visibility, consistency and accurate information across the program.
Working closely with the Program Manager and workstream leads, the role supports program reporting, RAID management, governance coordination, benefits tracking and documentation processes across approximately 25 concurrent initiatives. The role contributes to maintaining program discipline and ensuring reporting and program information remains accurate, current and aligned.
The Senior Program Officer assists in identifying emerging risks, reporting gaps and coordination issues, and supports the preparation of reports, governance materials, briefings and dashboards for senior stakeholders. The role also contributes to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to strengthen reporting, coordination and governance practices across the program.
Operating in a fast-paced and evolving environment, the role works collaboratively across multiple workstreams and stakeholders to support successful operational readiness of the centre and maintain alignment across initiatives. The role also supports broader organisational learning by contributing to approaches and practices that may inform future improvements across the youth detention network.
