The Jetty Pavilion located in Coffs Harbour is a full-service restaurant. They serve breakfast, lunch and Dinner, with bar and have liquor license. They also offer catering, do functions, events, special occasions, and whole venue hire. Due to expansion, they have a new position for a Chef on full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food preparation, cooking and presentation in accordance with venue standards, recipes and service requirements.
- Prepare and cook a range of dishes in accordance with required standards.
- Assisting in menu execution, including preparation of seasonal items and specials as directed by senior management.
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation according to Venue.
- Assisting in maintaining consistency of menu execution and kitchen standards.
- Ensuring compliance with all food safety, hygiene and council regulations at all times.
- Assisting with stock control, including stock rotation, ordering support and in minimisation of food wastage.
- Check freshness of food and ingredients.
- Plan menus, develop recipes, ensure uniform serving sizes and quality of meals, and determine how to present the food.
- Working collaboratively with kitchen teams, Front of House staff and management to ensure efficient service and operations.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and other food preparation workers.
- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality.
- Order and maintain inventory of food and supplies.

To be considered for this role you must have:
- AQF Associate Certificate IV with two years’ experience in same role or Diploma/Advance Diploma, or higher-level qualification.
- At least one year of relevant experience in industry in similar position.
- You must be Australian Citizen/Permanent resident or have proper working rights in Australia.
Salary – $80,000 - $85,000 plus super
