What you'll do
As the Manager Evaluation, you will lead and oversee complex evaluation programs across a broad range of health priorities, ensuring outcomes support evidence-based decision-making and inform future strategic direction. You will provide expert advice on fit-for-purpose quantitative and qualitative methodologies, guiding Queensland Health divisions and stakeholders in the development, delivery and evaluation of initiatives. Working collaboratively with internal and external partners, you will establish and maintain strong stakeholder networks to access timely specialist advice and foster effective partnerships. You will prepare and review high-level briefings, reports, submissions and correspondence, while developing tools and delivering training that support strategic planning, evaluation capability and knowledge transfer. In addition, you will lead and develop a high-performing team through effective coaching, performance management and task allocation, while applying contemporary human resource management principles, promoting ethical decision-making, and driving continuous improvement across branch activities and processes.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
strategic, conceptual, critical thinking, and analytical capability relevant to conducting evaluation of clinical health services priority programs and a proven track record in identifying, negotiating, influencing, and implementing solutions to complex problems.
leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills and leading high-functioning teams, including a focus on building evaluation capacity and capability.
project management skills, including the capability to develop, implement, analyse, and evaluate policy and program-related projects.
written and oral communication, consultation, and negotiation skills, including the ability to prepare and present major and complex reports, and to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment, and with key community and individual stakeholders.
