About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Projects Finance team based in Southbank, Melbourne. This is a permanent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in a project environment and enjoys partnering with operational teams to deliver strong financial outcomes.
Working closely with project managers and business stakeholders, you will be responsible for project financial reporting, billing, claims, cost control, month-end activities and stakeholder management. This role would suit someone who can confidently navigate complex conversations, challenge where required and build strong working relationships across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Manage project financial reporting, forecasting, budget monitoring and month-end close activities.

Coordinate billing, claims, invoicing and revenue recognition activities to ensure timely and accurate outcomes.

Analyse project performance, cost centres, margins and project costs, providing meaningful insights to stakeholders.

Partner with project managers and operational leaders to manage expectations, resolve issues and support commercial decision-making.

Maintain project financial data within SAP and ensure compliance with contractual and reporting requirements.
About you

CA or CPA qualified.

Demonstrated experience in a Senior Accountant, Project Accountant or similar role within a project-based environment.

Strong SAP experience is essential.

Proven ability to influence, collaborate with and manage challenging stakeholder relationships across multiple levels.

Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
