Role Overview:
We are looking for a full time, Functions & Events Manager at The Three Pound Group, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our venues through impeccable event execution and exceptional customer service. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a strong background in food, beverage, and event management. The Function & Events Manager will lead the functions team and liaise between department heads to ensure the seamless delivery of events to all TPG Venues.
Responsibilities
· Coordinate a diverse range of events, including major corporate gatherings, venue activations, private functions, weddings and bigger events such as NYE and Melbourne Cup.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and ensure their events are executed flawlessly, exceeding their expectations
- Facilitate effective communication between departments by providing detailed event information to managers and staff, and adapt to any event related changes
- Liaising with the Head Chefs and Venue Managers regarding menus and function packages.
- Develop new function packages and regularly update the existing ones
- Manage the bookings process for new functions, conduct venue tours, hold client meetings, and relay all event details.
- Managing invoicing for events and work closely with the accounts department to ensure accurate processing.
- Address customer complaints professionally and diplomatically, forwarding relevant feedback to appropriate channels.
- Maintain a high level of customer service, convert enquiries to sales, and ensure a prompt response to customer requests.
- Manage and oversee function staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Overview of upcoming functions and bookings for all TPG Venues.
- Maintain and update function systems and contracts as required.
- Continue to Identify and Implement best booking procedures to constantly improve efficiency.
- Set up booking systems, rules and procedures for current and new venues.
Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with clients, team members, and vendors.
- Proven leadership abilities and a proactive approach to work.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Previously experience in hospitality events management
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- MS Office proficiency
- Polite and professional phone manner
- Experience with Function Tracker and Now Book It would be beneficial
Pay: $85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
