The Role

As our Compliance Manager, you’ll play an important role in strengthening and supporting compliance risk management across AP+.

Sitting within the Group Risk team, you’ll help develop, implement and maintain our compliance frameworks, policies and programs, while providing practical advice and guidance to stakeholders across the organisation.

This is a hands-on compliance role where you’ll work across monitoring and reporting, regulatory change, obligations assessment, issue and remediation management and continuous improvement. You’ll use data and insights to identify emerging trends and risks and help ensure AP+ continues to maintain effective and consistent compliance practices.
This role is responsible for:

Managing the day-to-day delivery of compliance activities, including compliance risk assessments, monitoring, reporting and improvement actions.

Supporting obligations assessment activities and the ongoing development and implementation of compliance policies, standards and procedures.

Providing specialist, practical compliance advice and guidance to stakeholders across AP+.

Coordinating regulatory change activities, including impact assessments, action tracking, implementation support and reporting.

Managing compliance issues, corrective actions and remediation activities through to effective closure.

Preparing meaningful compliance reporting and using data and insights to identify trends, emerging issues and improvement opportunities.

Supporting reporting to key risk and compliance forums and committees.

Identifying, assessing and escalating material compliance risks, issues and control weaknesses, with practical recommendations for resolution.

Applying quality assurance practices to drive consistent compliance outcomes.

Building strong stakeholder relationships and supporting teams to understand and implement their compliance requirements.

Staying across regulatory developments, industry trends and emerging best practice to continually improve compliance management at AP+.
In order to be successful in this role you’ll need to demonstrate:

Strong experience across compliance risk management, including compliance monitoring, policy implementation, issue management and reporting.

Good knowledge of compliance frameworks, regulatory obligations, controls, assurance and governance.

Experience supporting or delivering regulatory change and translating regulatory requirements into practical business actions.

Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and produce meaningful management insights and reporting.

Experience assessing compliance risks and control weaknesses and developing practical remediation actions.

The ability to provide credible and pragmatic compliance advice to stakeholders across different areas of a business.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence positive compliance outcomes.

A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to identify opportunities to improve compliance processes, tools and ways of working.

A relevant tertiary qualification in risk, compliance, governance, business, finance, technology or a related discipline.
-
Professional certification or membership within risk, compliance, governance or financial services would be advantageous.
