The Far West Local Health District is one of 15 LHDs under NSW Health, providing high quality public health services to the communities in far west NSW. FWLHD has a mandate to provide the highest quality care and services to its communities using the latest clinical evidence and technological enablers. About Balranald
Balranald is a beautiful rural town on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. It has a friendly atmosphere with great venues for barista coffee, a well renowned bakery and discovery centre. A short drive takes you to the scenic larger town of Swan Hill for shopping, a great swimming pool and art centre. Balranald offers amazing food at the local RSL and to die for take away Pizza. Balranald Shire is home to the spectacular Yanga National Park and World heritage listed Mungo National Park, rich in Aboriginal history. Surrounded by five of NSW’s most iconic rivers (the Murray, Lachlan, Wakool, Edward & Murrumbidgee), the town provides an ideal location for boating, fishing, kayaking and other water sports.
