Your Story
As a Food Technologist at Tibaldi, you will be part of the Research and Development team based in Clayton, Victoria reporting to the NPD Manager.
To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience inclusive of smallgoods or meat manufacturing experience.
You will be involved in:
- Using your experience everyday researching, developing, managing food product innovation projects within our business.
- Planning and leading continuous improvement and technical development activities including product trials (e.g. system and document creation and maintenance, pilot plant equipment, product trial protocols, results interpretation and final trial report preparation).
- Project management for end-to-end R & D project implementation from pre-production to commercial launch (e.g. costings, sourcing ingredients, data collection, food safety procedures, refinement of briefs and quality and assurance).
- NPD including Stage and Gate processes, proposal and review of relevant materials and documentation.
- Creating and maintaining product data base/s / registers for project and current and new products including CoOL, NIP, cooking instructions, SOPs/WI and product specifications
- Perform sensory evaluations, shelf-life validation and verification testing
Our FMCG meat products, will require you to use your knowledge of:
- Product development specifically within FMCG, meat products or smallgoods manufacturing
- Meat import and export requirements
- FMCG audits (e.g., IPMP, AQIS and SEDEX audits)
- Food manufacturing GMP standards
- Food safety managements systems (e.g., FSANZ, SQF, HACCP, CFMSR, Yum!, Costco, Aldi, FSSC 22000)
- Food labelling legislation
As part of the Research and Development team you will:
- Be an adaptable, innovative team player, willing to work in a fast-paced environment with good communication skills and good sense of judgement on confliction priorities.
- Work collaboratively to partner with business stakeholders including from Operations, Production, Quality and Assurance, Research and Development, Finance, Maintenance, Sales, Marketing and HR.
- Be ‘hands-on’ with everyone from our entry level roles to the CEO.
- May be able to work from home on occasions (not a permanent arrangement).

Pay: $80,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
