LEMRIJ PTY LTD trading as R H ADAM & SONS is a reputable automotive repair and maintenance workshop located in Padstow, NSW. Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced and qualified Motor Mechanic to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in vehicle engines, components and systems using specialised testing and diagnostic equipment.
· Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components for inspection, repair and replacement.
· Repair or replace defective, worn and damaged mechanical parts and vehicle systems.
· Reassemble engines and vehicle components following repairs and maintenance activities.
· Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
· Test, adjust and tune repaired vehicles to ensure optimal performance, reliability and safety.
· Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, braking systems, suspension systems, steering systems, transmissions and related vehicle components.
· Operate computerised diagnostic equipment to identify faults and assess vehicle performance.
· Conduct road tests where required to verify repairs and diagnose vehicle issues.
· Maintain accurate service records, repair reports and workshop documentation.
· Ensure all work is completed in accordance with workplace health and safety procedures and industry standards.
· Communicate with customers and management regarding vehicle faults, repair requirements and maintenance recommendations.
Essential Requirements
· Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification.
· At least two years of relevant post-qualification experience as a Motor Mechanic.
· Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
