Apricus Health is looking for a bright, friendly and enthusiastic Administration Assistant Trainee to join our Allied Health Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical office experience, complete a nationally recognised Certificate III in Business and learn from a welcoming team who will support you along the way.
You do not need previous office experience. This role could be a great fit if you are entering the workforce, have recently finished school or are looking for your first opportunity in an office environment.

Our Administration Team plays an important role in making every client feel welcome and keeping our clinics running smoothly. You will work alongside a friendly and experienced support team who will provide close support, clear guidance and plenty of opportunities to develop your skills and confidence.
As you learn and grow in the role, your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming clients and helping create a friendly, professional reception experience
- Answering telephone calls and responding to email enquiries
- Booking and updating client appointments
- Maintaining accurate client records in our practice management system
- Printing, scanning and organising documents
- Sending referrals, reports and letters prepared by our therapists
- Processing payments, including cash, card and health fund payments
- Receiving, distributing and storing correspondence and deliveries
- Helping keep the reception and waiting areas clean, tidy and welcoming
- Folding clinic towels and assisting with other practical tasks that help the clinic run smoothly
- Providing warm and helpful customer service
- Completing workplace training towards your Certificate III in Business
- Are friendly, polite and comfortable speaking with people
- Have a positive attitude and are keen to learn
- Are reliable, punctual and ready to work hard
- Communicate clearly and confidently in person and over the phone
- Have good attention to detail
- Enjoy being organised and completing tasks properly
- Are comfortable learning new computer systems and workplace processes
- Are happy to help with a variety of office and clinic tasks

Previous administration or healthcare experience is not required. We will teach you what you need to know, including the common terms and processes used in an occupational therapy clinic.

This position will be paid at the applicable trainee award rate, plus superannuation.
This is a full-time traineeship working Monday to Friday. Applicants must be available to work rostered hours across our clinic operating times.
To be considered, you must:
- Be eligible to complete a government-funded Certificate III in Business traineeship
- Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold an eligible Australian visa with sufficient working rights for the full traineeship
- Not require employer-sponsored visa arrangements
- Not have previously completed a Certificate III or higher qualification that would affect your eligibility for funded training
- Hold a current National Police Certificate or be willing to obtain one
