About the role
Waramanga Medical Centre is a 30 years old well-established, accredited, 8 doctors, privately billing general practice located in the desirable Weston Creek region of Canberra( Australian Capital ). The practice provides comprehensive healthcare services to a growing and diverse patient population and is open seven days a week. With a strong reputation for patient-centred care, teaching involvement, and a supportive clinical environment, we are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join our friendly team

- Suitable for doctors requiring a Distribution Priority Area (DPA)/District of Workforce Shortage (DWS) location, subject to current workforce classifications and eligibility requirements. Applicants are encouraged to enquire regarding their individual circumstances.
What we're looking for
- Current registration or eligibility with the Australian Medical Board and unrestricted medical practitioner registration
- UK-trained General Practitioners eligible for Australia's Expedited Specialist Pathway are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Completed training in General Practice or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia
- Fellowship or eligibility for fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) or equivalent body
- Both Fellowship with RACGP or equivalent body and eligibility for fellowship are acceptable for this position. FSP or PESCI candidates are not eligible to apply
- Strong clinical knowledge and experience in general practice, preferably with exposure to diverse patient presentations
- New graduates are welcome to apply for this general practice position
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with patients from varied backgrounds
- Sound clinical judgment and the ability to make evidence-based decisions in complex situations
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple patient consultations efficiently
- Commitment to professional development and keeping abreast of current medical practice
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Current CPR certification and willingness to maintain professional development requirements
