Workspace Cleaners is a rapidly growing commercial cleaning company with customers all over Melbourne.
We’re looking for a full time Cleaning Supervisor to join our team of professional commercial cleaners.
This is not a head cleaner role. You'll spend the majority of your time coordinating our field team, managing client relationships, and driving quality across our site network.
If you've managed a mobile or field-based team before and you're looking for a role with real autonomy and a direct line to the business owner, you could be a great fit.
Responsibilities in the field (evenings and occasional days)
- Complete quality check-ins at client sites each week during cleaning hours (mostly evenings)
- Conduct 1-1 coaching and performance feedback with cleaners on a rotating basis
- Induction and training of new team members
- Set up new client sites with equipment and onboarding the assigned cleaning team
- Join staff for periodic detail cleans at key sites
- Coordinate and occasionally support specialist services including carpet and window cleaning (training provided if needed)
- Daytime site visits for supply drops, inspections, customer contact, and equipment management
- Shift coverage when team are absent or unavailable. You will be a backup, not the first choice for shift coverage.
Responsibilities from home (daytime coordination)
- Join our start and end of week ops check-ins with the scheduling team
- Be the first point of contact for our team of cleaners
- Coordinate cover for absent staff alongside our offshore scheduling team
- Flag hiring needs and interview shortlisted candidates for cleaner roles
- Maintain and update site cleaning plans as client requirements evolve
- Communicate with clients by phone and email, responding to feedback and requests
- Prepare quotes and estimates for specialist services and ad hoc client requests
- Proactively identify and propose specialist service opportunities across our existing client base
About you:
- Experience supervising or coordinating a field-based or mobile team
- Confidence having direct performance conversations with frontline staff
- Experience with carpet cleaning, window cleaning, or other specialised cleaning services is a bonus
- Strong communication with both clients and team members
- Comfortable working across daytime and evening hours, with travel across Melbourne
Other requirements:
- Police Check
- A car / drivers license to get between customer sites
- Ability to work a mix of daytime and evening hours
- Ability to travel to multiple customer sites across Melbourne
The role:

Pay: $55,500.00 – $65,000.00 per year
