Casa Latina is looking for an experienced and passionate Chef / Cook to join our kitchen in the heart of Melbourne CBD.
We are a Latin American venue offering a vibrant menu inspired by the flavours of Latin America. We are looking for someone reliable, organised and confident working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
About the Role
As part of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and cooking dishes consistently to our recipes and standards
- Managing your section during service
- Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
- Assisting with food preparation, stock rotation and inventory
- Following food safety, hygiene and cleaning procedures
- Helping minimise food waste and control portion sizes
- Working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working as a Chef or experienced Cook
- Is confident working in a busy kitchen
- Has strong organisation and time-management skills
- Takes pride in food quality and presentation
- Is reliable, punctual and works well as part of a team
- Understands food safety and kitchen hygiene requirements
- Has a positive attitude and is willing to contribute to the team
Experience with Latin American cuisine is highly regarded, but not essential if you have strong kitchen experience and are willing to learn.
