Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to lead and support our new Medical & Cardiac Ward. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care and foster a supportive team environment within a leading healthcare organisation.
About the Role:
As an ANUM in our Medical & Cardiac Unit, you will work collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the ward. You will play a crucial role in clinical leadership, staff development, and maintaining exceptional standards of patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing team on the Medical & Cardiac Unit.

Assisting the Nurse Unit Manager with daily ward operations, resource management, and rostering.

Participating in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans for medical and cardiac patients.

Mentoring and supporting nursing staff, including new graduates and junior team members.

Ensuring compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and relevant clinical standards.

Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and risk management strategies within the unit.

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive patient care and discharge planning.

Managing patient admissions, transfers, and discharges effectively.
About You:
You are a highly motivated Registered Nurse with significant experience in medical and/or cardiac nursing, including previous leadership or supervisory experience. You possess excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, enabling you to lead with confidence and compassion. We are looking for an individual who demonstrates:

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

Extensive current acute clinical experience in medical and/or cardiac nursing.

Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in a senior nursing role.

A commitment to patient-centred care and continuous professional development.

The ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.

Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.

Relevant Post Graduate studies desirable
Remuneration
$57.44 - $59.33 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (VIC Associate Nurse Unit Manager yr1-yr2)
