Purpose of the Role
BGIS is seeking an experienced Facilities Coordinator to support the day-to-day operation of a major aviation precinct and ensure maintenance, compliance, and stakeholder requirements are delivered to a high standard. Reporting directly to the Regional Services Manager, you will work collaboratively with both client and BGIS teams to coordinate maintenance activities, manage work orders, support financial processes, and drive service excellence.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, relationship-focused, and proactive, with strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to creating positive outcomes for clients, contractors, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for facility-related enquiries and service requests.
- Coordinate maintenance activities and manage work orders through the CMMS system.
- Support financial and procurement processes, including invoice reviews and budget administration.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with contract requirements and KPIs.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, compliant, and sustainable workplace environment.
- Coordinate documentation, reporting, and record management to support operational excellence.
- Build positive relationships with stakeholders across the site and broader business. ✈️

Education, Experience & Skills
Essential:
- Experience within a property, facilities management, corporate real estate, or integrated services environment.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating maintenance activities and service delivery.
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and CMMS platforms.
- Strong understanding of QA, WHS, environmental, and compliance systems.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
- High School Certificate (or equivalent) and relevant qualifications in Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related discipline.
- Training or exposure to WHS and quality management systems.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of building services, maintenance planning, or subcontractor management.
- Experience preparing scopes of work, tender documentation, or contractor engagement activities.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Additional qualifications or training relating to environmental management systems.
- Experience supporting operations within large, complex, or transport-related environments.
Workplace Flexibility
To support your success in the role, this position will be based 100% on-site at Brisbane Airport . This role operates during core business hours , providing consistency and regular engagement with site stakeholders and contractors.
